Bio

I am a professional dancer and have been teaching dance for over 15 years.  I discovered the world of yoga while obtaining my BA in Dance and Performance Studies from UC Berkeley and have been practicing ever since. In 2009, I became a yoga alliance certified yoga teacher, completing my training under Jennifer Prugh’ ‘Joy of Yoga’ 200 hour program.

Throughout my dance career, I have studied kinesiology/movement therapy along with injury prevention, which translates into my yoga classes, emphasizing proper alignment and an understanding of the postures.  My teaching experience allows me to focus on each students needs whether they require strength, flexibility, or an awareness of their body and how they move in space.

My classes are a combination of vinyasa and dance, drawing from various dance styles, making the classes fun and challenging.
