DANCE

I started my dance training in ballet at the age of four, attending Joffrey Ballet’s intensive training at the age of ten.  I graduated from UC Berkeley with a  BA in Dance and Performance Studies and was a principal dancer for Bay Area Repertory Dance Company, performing in works such as Paul Taylor’s Esplanade, and Jose Limon’s A Choreographic Offering.  In May 2002, I was selected to perform a leading role in Benjamin Levy’s portal at the National College Dance Festival held at Kennedy Center.  I am currently  a principal dance for CPAA, Chinese Performing Artists of America and have danced lead roles in dance dramas such as Yellow River and Butterfly Lovers.

I am currently a dance instructor at Yao Yong Dance and Acme Education Group.  i have been teaching for over 10 years.  I teach ballet, Chinese Dance, and Modern to students of all ages, ranging from 4 years old to adult.  I have also taught at various other dance schools, including Academy of Chinese Performing Artists (ACPA) and China Dance.  I have previously taught and put on performances at Friends of Children With Special Needs (FCSN) for children with special needs and at The International School of the Peninsula.
